Experience
William B. “Clay” Wadsworth is a lifelong resident of Houston County, Alabama. After high school, Clay served seven years in the Alabama National Guard while obtaining his undergraduate degree from Auburn University. He later attended Faulkner University’s Jones School of Law, where he earned his law degree in 2006. Clay’s practice focuses primarily in the area of criminal defense. He has tried more than 200 criminal trials, including extensive experience with Capital Murder litigation. Additionally, Clay’s practice has a focus upon Immigration Law, such as the following areas: DACA renewal, family-based petitions (adjustment of status), I-130 I/601A, VAWA, U-Visas, affirmative asylum, TPS, and K-Visas.
Clay represents clients in all circuit courts throughout the State of Alabama, as well as all Federal District Courts. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Houston County Bar Association, and the National Trial Lawyers’ Association. Clay lives in Dothan with his wife, Bethany, and their two children. In his spare time, enjoys golfing and watching Auburn football.
